In a last ditch effort to not be a chub-a-chub Rick and I are starting the South Beach Diet tomorrow. We've made out our list of meals and snacks for the next week and I am really going balls out on this one. I admit I am a little put out by the whole no carb thing but the fact that I can drink diet coke and it's not even remotely cheating is a good thing. It should calm my nerves and keep the shaking due to lack of starches to a minimum.
So suck it carbs! I never liked you anyway!

DH and I are doing a similar things. We're on day 4... it's so haaard!! I want carbs! I'm hoping it will get better.
I'm an expert at the first day of SBD. It's the subsequent days at which I suck.
I was going to borrow some of my girls dollar store pompoms and cheer you on... but Rochelle's comment sort of takes the pep out it.

I seriously take my hat off to you! I tried that south beach thing. I was ready to kill anyone who rubbed me the wrong way. I NEED my carbs. I HAVE to have them. Otherwise, I am just a straight out B.

I have tried South beach as well and I think I got to day 5 and went back to WW, but I am considering doing something similar after Thanksgiving, as I really need to get rid of this chub.
